Meadowlark Golf Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Orange County. This 18 hole course is challenging yet player friendly. Best of all, after years of only being open to the elite, this gorgeous course is now open to the public.

Meadow Lake Golf Club is one of the best courses in California. Named one of the “Top Public and Semi-private golf courses” by the San Diego Business journal.  Meadow Lake has what it takes to challenge even the most advanced golfer. THE COURSE

Located on a former Air Force base, Mather Golf Course provides picturesque tree lined fairways and luscious greens. Designed to test your long game, Mather Golf Course continues to attract golfers of all skill levels year after year.

You start off the day with a short par four that offers a few obstacles to test your accuracy. Hole number three is a wide open shot if you can keep it between the two soft bunkers. At the end of the front 9, there is a beverage cart waiting to refresh you as you turn to continue the course. The difficult hole 11 throws every obstacle possible at you. Of these obstacles is a beautiful lake in the middle of the fairway, so watch out! Hole 12 offers a forgiving par 5 and an opportunity to get some strokes back. And finally hole 13, the signature hole, is a total 285 yards from the longest tee, and a par four. If you get an accurate shot, one long drive should do it. If not, you’re in trouble. And finally hole number 18 is a tricky short hole, making sure your skill is as good at hole one as hole 18.

Mather Golf course has a total of 6,686 yards from the longest tees and a par of 72. The rating of this course is 71.7 and finally the slope is 121.

THE COURSE

Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is a municipal executive golf course. Opened in 1962 this short course has both challenging and easier holes so as to appeal to players of all skill levels.

This course may seem lame at first glance. It has no water hazards and it is only 1,008 yards to the longest tee. The par is a mere 27.

Things start to look up with the slope and rating. The rating is a 35 and the slope is a 64. The real joy, however, is that the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course features an unheard of paring with their sloped greens with narrow fairways. There are also a few pitch and put hazards designed to amuse and challenge the golfer. Quickly, the golfer will see that while this course is tiny, it is also quite mighty!

Los Serranos Country Club is home of not one but two full size, championship quality golf courses. Variety is the spice of life for those at Los Serranos and nowhere is that more evident than in the rich history of this course. THE COURSE

Royal Vista Golf Club is made up of three golf courses. Designed over 50 years ago, these courses have stood the test of time. With their wide open fairway, small greens, bunkers and water hazards, these courses were designed to tempt even the most royal guests. Each of these 9 hole courses can be combined to make an 18-hole, championship quality course.

The first course, known as the East course, is a short 9 hole course. This course has a par of 36. It is 3,304 yards long. It is known for its long, undulating fairways and challenging water hazards.

The second course, known as the North course has a par of 35. It is 3,305 yards long. This section of the club is known for its difficult to avoid bunkers and small greens.

Finally, the South Course has a par of 36 and is 3,010 yards long. This is by far the most difficult of the three. East-South is a favorite of many golfers. If you have more time, play a 27 hole round.

THE COURSE

Los Feliz Municipal Golf Course, opened in 1947. It is a 9 Hole course that is perfect for an afternoon outing. Los Feliz has become something of a tourist attraction since its appearance in the film “Swingers”. Celebrities often frequent the course as well.

This short course is a mere 1,065 yards to the longest tee and has a par of 27. The rating is a 35 and the slope is a 64. Despite these stats, Los Feliz will challenge and entertain golfers of all skill levels.

If you need to upgrade your equipment, the pro shop at Los Feliz is the perfect place. This shop pairs a caring, helpful staff with awesome prices. If you need clubs, apparel or just a souvenir of your visit, they can get it for you. If they don’t have it, they can also special order it.

Coffee House

Nothing pairs with golf like a cup of Joe. That’s why Los Feliz has done away with the traditional snack bar and put in a coffee house. They carry everything from a plain house blend to espressos, cappuccinos and more. Don’t worry, though, they still have a full bar with plenty of ice cold beer!

If you are hungry, the Coffee House has a variety of muffins and scones in the morning. They also carry café style sandwiches. If you are hungry while on the course, cart service is available.
