THE COURSE

Known as the second oldest golf course in Fresno, Riverside Golf Course has stood the test of time. Riverside Golf Course was built in 1939 by William P. Bell as part of the federally funded Works Progress Administration project for Fresno. Since then, the course has remained a hidden gem in the heart of the city.

The course is a standard 18 hole championship course with several unique twists. Among the many challenges of Riverside are narrow fairways, water obstacles and soft, well maintained bunkers. THE COURSE

The city of Los Angeles has created and maintains some of the most beautiful courses in the city. Wilson Municipal Golf Course is no exception. Named for President Woodrow Wilson, this course was designed by George C Thomas. This course combines wide fairways and a tree-lined forest-like setting. The course has a distinct slope making it a true oasis for golfers in this big city.

The course spans 6,967 yards to the longest tee. It features a par of 72 and a rating of 73. The slope is 125. It features mature trees along all of the fairways and a signature 8th hole.

GREEN FEES

To experience this historic course, book your tee time today. Discounts are available for residents, seniors and more. Junior golfers must be certified by the city before golfing. Cart fees are separate, and proper golf attire is required

Pro Shop

If you are in need of new gear, be sure to visit the pro shop. They carry a wide variety of the brand name products you have grown to love at prices you will respect. They also offer rental clubs and storage lockers. Staff members are available to handle cart rental, book tee times, discuss course conditions and more.

Dining

Golf is a hunger-inducing sport. Because of that, Wilson Municipal Golf Course offers a wide variety of stadium style food in their snack bar. They also have a cocktail bar that serves appetizers, beverages and daily specials. If you need food or drink on the course, look for cart girls to help you out.

PRACTICE FACILITY

If you need to take a few swings off your golf game, be sure to visit the practice facility. They have an 18-stall, completely grass driving range for working on the long game. They also have a separate putting and chipping area for the short game. A practice bunker is also available. Buckets of balls are available from the pro shop.

If you need even more help, the PGA certified staff members are available to help you out. They offer a complementary swing analysis as well as regular clinics, seminars and other events. Individual lessons are also available by appointment. Group lessons can also be arraigned. Contact the pro shop for more information.
