THE COURSE

Maggie Hathaway Golf Course is a municipal executive golf course. Opened in 1962 this short course has both challenging and easier holes so as to appeal to players of all skill levels.

This course may seem lame at first glance. It has no water hazards and it is only 1,008 yards to the longest tee. The par is a mere 27.

Things start to look up with the slope and rating. The rating is a 35 and the slope is a 64. The real joy, however, is that the Maggie Hathaway Golf Course features an unheard of paring with their sloped greens with narrow fairways. There are also a few pitch and put hazards designed to amuse and challenge the golfer. Quickly, the golfer will see that while this course is tiny, it is also quite mighty!

Los Serranos Country Club is home of not one but two full size, championship quality golf courses. Royal Vista Golf Club is made up of three golf courses. Designed over 50 years ago, these courses have stood the test of time. With their wide open fairway, small greens, bunkers and water hazards, these courses were designed to tempt even the most royal guests. Each of these 9 hole courses can be combined to make an 18-hole, championship quality course.

The first course, known as the East course, is a short 9 hole course. This course has a par of 36. It is 3,304 yards long. It is known for its long, undulating fairways and challenging water hazards.

THE COURSE

Lakewood Country Club’s golf course combines challenges and beauty with its ingenious design. Between the poa greens and Bermuda grass you will find an absolutely stunning water wonderland. Unlike many others, Lakewood has a grand total of a 11 acres of water and lakes to both challenge your golf game and entice your senses. These features make Lakewood Country club the perfect mix of relaxation and entertainment.

The first course, designed by William Bell, is a championship course. The course can be divided into four different sections depending on your skill level and desire. These divisions are as follows, Championship, Back, Middle, Forward / Ladies and Junior.

The Championship course consists of 7,033 yards, a par of 73, and a slope of 124. The Back 9 consists of 6,729 yards, a par of 72 and a slope of 121. The Middle course consists of 6,416 yards, a par of 70 and a slope of 118. The Forward or Ladies course consists of 5,903 yards, a par of 74 and a slope of 126. And the Junior course consists of 4,560 yards, a par of 62 and a slope of 101. The variety of these courses is sure to make this course appealing to golfers of all ages and abilities.

THE COURSE

The Lakes at El Segundo golf course is a public course run by the city of El Segundo. Opened in 1994, this course is the most successful of El Segundo’s parks and recreation locations. Whether you’re a beginning golfer or a veteran this course is sure to offer you a leisurely game with just enough obstacles to keep you interested.

The course is a 9-hole course with a 1,327 yard distance. It is filled with lush rye and bent grass. It sports a par of 29. With wide open fairways and few waterways, this course is perfect for the novice golfer or a game of golf the whole family.

The Lakes at El Segundo Golf Course offers an amazing variety of food at their very own café. Known as the the Fairway Café, they offer a wide variety of all your favorites plus new classics. The Fairway Café serves breakfast, lunch and dinner all at reasonable rates. In addition to satisfying your appetite The Fairway Café can satisfy your thirst with a variety of beverages including domestic and imported beers. If you are hungry on the course, cart service is also available.

PRACTICE FACILITY

If you want to take a few swings off your handicap, the practice facility is the perfect place for you. A double sided, natural grass driving range will help you work on your long game. It also boasts a lush 10,000 square foot natural grass putting green and an 800 square foot chipping and pitching green with a bunker for working on the short game.
