THE COURSE

The course at Lake Forest Golf and Practice Center was designed by Michael Orren. It is situated in the most amazing, fragrant orange groves and features numerous mature orange trees. Soft bunkers and two on course lakes makes this 9-hole course with a par of 29 the perfect course for beginners and junior golfers.

As stated, the course features a par of 29. This short course is easily walkable. The signature hole is the second. This 115 yard Par 3 plays over a lake to a green that is surrounded by mature sycamores. The creek wraps around it making this hole as beautiful as it is challenging.

PRACTICE FACILITY

If you want to take a few swings off your handicap, the practice facility is the perfect place for you. Tune your swing in the two-tiered, 60 station driving range equipped with state-of-the-art mats and multiple target greens. They also have 12 natural turf stalls.

If your short game is in need of some help, they have a perfect facility for you too. For the short game, they have a 9-hole putting green and five bunker chipping area. It is truly one of the best practice facilities in the area.

A variety of specials run throughout the week in the practice area. On Monday, they run a special that allows you to hit as many balls as you can off the mats for $15. On Tuesday, large buckets are buy one get one free. The hitting area is open 365 days a year.

If more instruction is needed, individual and group lessons are available for all ages. Junior golf clinics help children improve their game. For adults, the Get Golf Ready program works in a group setting. Private lessons are also available. Summer camps and other children’s programs are also available.

Designed by world renowned architect William Bell in 1961, La Mirada Golf course provides both a fun and challenging course for golfers of every skill level. Among the more appealing features are several blind holes. Other challenging features include the bunkers which can be unavoidable. The signature hole is tenth hole. It is a 364 yard hole with a par of 4. A lake guards the left side of the fairway. With all of these challenges, La Mirada is sure to test all of your golfing abilities.

THE COURSE

Industrial Hills Golf Course at the Pacific Palms Resort is one of California’s most noteworthy public golf courses. It is also a historical landmark as many of golf’s greatest names have played on this industrial course. The course, which is actually two courses, has been recently upgraded and fully modernized.

The first course, known fondly as “The Ike” was a collaboration between William F. Bell and Casey O’Callaghan. Golfers from around the world are attracted to this 7,211 yard course with a par of 72. The rating is an impressive 75.1 and the slope is a stunning 142. It contains a multitude of natural obstacles making this course as challenging as it is pretty.

The second course, known as “The Babe” is named after Babe Didrikson Zaharias. Zaharias is one of Americans most decorated athletes of all-time. Designed by the same architects that brought American “The Ike”, this course is a modest 6,826 yards and has a par of 71. The rating is a 73.9 and the the slope is a 135.

If you need to take a few swings off your handicap, the Industry Hills Golf Club offers a full range of practice facilities. The driving range is bi-level and night light. They have a variety of target greens to help you improve your long game. The short game area is even more impressive. Two bunkers, two greens, a rough and four putting areas will have you getting a birdie in no time. Looking out over the course and the San Gabriel Mountains will make this experience even more impressive.

THE COURSE

The city of Indio’s Municipal Golf Course offers one of the longest par 3 golf courses in the country ranging from 120 to 240 yards. The course was constructed in 1965 by the City of Indio on approximately 46 acres.

This course features several unique things. The course has many mature trees, sand traps and other obstacles. There is also a natural lake located between the 9th hole and 18th hole. These holes are also considered the signature holes of this course. The course is 3,004 yards long and has a par of 27. The course is now fully lighted.

THE COURSE

At Indian Wells Golf Resort, the courses come first. They are the center of the experience. In fact, they are so loved that GolfWeek consistently ranks it in their top courses. The resort has two full courses for a total of 36 holes.

The first course, known as the the Celebrity Course was designed by Clive Clark. This much anticipated course opened in November of 2006 to rave reviews. It features undulating fairways plus a number of flowing waterways. You will especially appreciate the split level lakes that are connected by striking waterfalls. This course is 7,050 yards long and has a par of 72. The slope is a 138 and it has earned a rating of 74.2.

The second course, designed by John Fought, is the players course. It opened in November of 2007. It has a classic American feel complete with sculpted bunkers. One unique feature of this course is the way that Fought integrated many of the stately trees found on the original property. This gave the course a unique, older feel with all of the modern amenities. This course is an impressive 7,376 yards long and sports a par of 72. It is rated at a 75.3 and has a slope of 139.

GREEN FEES

To experience the famed celebrity course or the majestic player’s course, book your tee time today. Tee times can be booked online, by phone or in person. THE COURSE

Those visiting this course for the first time are bound to be awe-struck. It has undulating fairways, beautifully manicured greens and a variety of unique obstacles. Water hazards come into play on many holes so a sure shot is needed when playing this course.

Indian Springs Golf Club, a 6,794 yard par 72 championship layout, was designed by John Gurley Sr. The course has a reputation in the Coachella Valley for being very player friendly and featuring “tournament speed greens.” This course has a slope of 127 and a rating of 72.0 from the gold tees.
