THE COURSE
Legendary Golf Course Architect William Francis Bell was an extremely talented golf designer who built nearly 200 golf courses in his lifetime. He designed the serene and challenging Ancil Hoffman Golf Course in 1965 for the Sacramento County, at a time most of his work was concentrated in the Sacramento area. EPGA GOLF ACADEMY
Eric Pollard Golf Academy at Ancil Hoffman Golf Course has been catering to players since 2001. They are a top flight instructional program that attracts juniors, amateurs and professionals from all over the region. The three golf pros can meet your specific needs, including lessons or on-going training, fitness, and club-fitting.

Looking to warm up a bit, or put in some practice to take a stroke or two off your putting? The Merle Priddy Memorial grass driving range is located next to the American River in Ancil Hoffman Park. Two large putting and chipping greens located next to The Main Event Bar & Grill patio.

THE MAIN EVENT BAR AND GRILL
Ancil Hoffman, in addition to being a member of the Board of Supervisors of the County of Sacramento, played an important role in the sport of boxing in the U.S. For many years, prior to his time as a county supervisor, Ancil Hoffman was the manager and trainer of renowned heavyweight champion Max Baer. The Main Event commemorates his involvement by displaying photos and memorabilia donated by the Hoffman family.
The Main Event, in addition to providing delectable cuisine for tournaments, provides a host of local favorites on their hearty menu for both breakfast and lunch. The Menu can be accessed at the Ancil Hoffman Golf Course site.
