ABOUT
Hollywood Boulevard is a street in Hollywood, California that is well known for celebrities, theaters, restaurants and hotels. If you have never visited Hollywood before, it is a must see to get the whole Hollywood experience.
In past days, this was probably one of the big hangouts for celebrities, but today it is mostly where the tourists and visitors go to get a taste of the movie star life. Don’t be discouraged though, you still may run into someone famous, especially if there are premiers or award shows going on.
ACTIVITIES
You may be surprised at the wide variety of entertainment to check out on Hollywood Boulevard. One of the favorite stops for visitors is Grauman’s Chinese Theater. It is one of the most well-known theaters in the world, but not for the movies. Of course you can still step inside and catch a flick, but the reason most people come by the theater is to check out the famous stars handprints and footprints. See if your hands are the same size as Lucille Ball. Perhaps your feet fit perfectly in Humphrey Bogarts. It can be exciting just knowing you are touching the same places that your favorite actor or actress did.
For more celebrity fun, head to Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum. Here you can rub elbows with all the stars, lifelike and close up. The figures are done extremely well so that you may expect your favorite to stand and greet you. There are plenty of different movie, music and sport stars showcased in the theater and plenty of fun for everyone. The Hollywood Walk of Fame is where you can see the stars, on the sidewalk that is. From directors to actors to singers, you can search for your favorites among the pink sidewalk stars. Check schedules and you may be able to be present when the next star is honored.
Several theaters are located on the Boulevard, such as the El Capitan Theatre, where you can enjoy a movie in true classic form. The Egyptian Theatre has a spectacular courtyard you can stroll around in, complete with awesome statues and hieroglyphics. When you’re hungry for food as well as nostalgia, the Musso & Frank Grill will curb your appetite. Boasting the title of the oldest restaurant in Hollywood, they stay true to form with a unique menu and nostalgic atmosphere. Many stars still frequent the restaurant so keep your eyes open and you may get a treat.
REVIEW
