THE COURSE
Penmar Municipal Golf Course is a regulation 9 hole course designed by David Kent and opened in 1962. Located near Venice Beach, Penmar offers a cool place for a round of golf on hot summer days. This is a course that is packed with challenges to test the short game and bring delight to golfers who value precision and finesse over brute strength.
The Penmar Municipal Golf Course is 2,582 yards to the longest tee and has a par of 33. The rating is a 32.0 and the slope is a 104. It offers multiple tees to allow every golfer to enjoy their game.

GREEN FEES
To enjoy a short game, book your tee time today. Tee times can be booked online, through the website, by phone or in person. Members can book tee times 16 days in advance. Nonmembers can book eight days in advance. Proper golf attire is required and metal spikes are prohibited.

If you find yourself in need of a bag, shoes or clubs, the great folks at Penmar Municipal Golf Course can help you out. They also carry apparel and souvenirs for everyone, including the golfer in your life who has everything. They carry all of the top name brands at competitive prices.
If you are new to the game, just trying it out, or simply don’t feel like lugging clubs to the course, Penmar offers rental clubs. These state of the art clubs are available in men’s and women’s right and left handed clubs. This also works as a great option for those who want to try out new clubs before buying them.
Snack Bar
If a game of golf leaves you hungry or thirsty, check out the snack bar at Penmar Municipal Golf Course. They carry everything from hot dogs and sandwiches to candy, soda and even beer. If you need something sooner, a limited cart service is available.
PRACTICE FACILITY
If you want to take a few swings off your handicap, the practice facility is the perfect place for you. They have a fully lighted driving range for working on the long game. They also have putting tents and a small chipping green for working on your short game. Buckets of balls are available from the pro shop for a nominal cost.
