THE COURSE
Opened in 1922 and designed by Gene Sarazen, the course at Shadow Mountain Golf Club is designed to be a shorter course. That does not, however, mean it is easier to play. The idea behind Shadow Mountain is to give golfers the ability to walk the course and also challenge them to improve their game.
The course at Shadow Mountain is one that challenges golfers to this day. In 2010, the city of Palm Desert awarded the golf club with recognition as a historic landmark. It is known as the first golf course in the city. This course features a par of 71. It is 5,388 yards to the longest tee. The rating is a 66.4 and the slope is a 134.

GREEN FEES
To discover this historic course, book your tee time today. Cart fees are included in the rates. Tee times may be made up to 7 days in advance. Proper golf attire is required. Rates do vary so please contact the pro shop for a current list of rates and discounts.
Pro Shop
Shadow Mountain Golf Club has a fully stocked pro shop to provide anything you might need on the course. They carry all of the brand names you have grown to love. Whether you are in need of bags, apparel, accessories or clubs, they have it. They can also special order items, discuss course conditions, book tee times and much more.
Squire’s at the Club
Squire’s at the Club, the onsite restaurant for Shadow Mountain Golf Club, offers diners not just food but also, a full culinary experience. Choose the dining room for live entertainment or sports games on one of two 60 inch TVs. Choose the patio for spectacular views. Regardless of your seating preferences, enjoy daily food and drink specials.
PRACTICE FACILITY
If you want to take a few swings off your handicap, the practice facility is the perfect place for you. A full driving range, large putting greens and chipping green will help you to improve your game. Buckets of balls are available from the pro shop.
If you need more assistance, PGA certified instructors are at your service. Clinics, seminars and other resources are offered regularly. Individual and group lessons are also available by appointment.
